Grocery Associate

• Maintains an exceptional level of customer service following the Guest Path Universal Service Standards, including welcoming and acknowledging our guests

• Completes transactions with our guests efficiently and courteously

• Accurately rings transactions

• Follows YGS’ accounting procedures for handling cash, traveler’s checks, and credit cards

• Counts cash accurately

• Stocks, rotates product, and cleans, including scrub, mop, wax, and empty trash

• Follows safe food handling practices

• Assist guests in all departments

• Assists co-workers with sales and stocking duties in other departments as necessary

 
The successful candidate will possess the following skill-set:

• Previous experience accurately handling money and counting change

• Some experience with guest services preferred

• Proven communication skills

• Ability to effectively work both independently and as a member of a team

• Cash register experience is preferred

• Proven problem solving ability

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Physically able to bend and stoop frequently

• Ability to stand 7-8 hours/day

• Physically able to frequently climb stair while carrying product

• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently

• Flexibility to change work schedule if needed
